Don't Forget
Build the Dream Open House Goes Live in 1 hour
Hey,
I know I’ve been in your inbox a lot lately with invites to today’s livestream. To be honest, I’m a little nervous about it.
This feels like the first real introduction. You’ve been reading these emails, and now you’re going to show up, ask questions, and actually get to know the person behind them. That makes it feel real — and a little exposed.
But I think we need to do this.
If we don’t start building something serious around housing reform — something that actually gives young people a shot at a home, a family, and a life they can plan around — the future is scary. Not just expensive. Scary in the way that quietly breaks people: delayed marriages or divorces, kids growing up without grandparents nearby, communities losing their next generation because nobody can afford to stay, and people take the final way out.
I’m not a think-tank guy, more of a go-tank? I’m a grassroots guy. I’ve spent my career in Montana working with regular people to move policy on the ground. That’s the only kind of movement that actually lasts.
Today’s livestream isn’t a lecture. It’s me answering your questions and us starting to figure this out together. If you’ve been on the fence about showing up, I’d really value having you there.
We go live at 5:30 Mountain, 6:30 Central, 7:30 Eastern.
Hope to see you.
David
